Ties That Bind is a sculptural series composed of hand-cast forms connected by a continuous red thread. The work explores fellowship as a fundamental part of the human condition, using the hand as both subject and tool. Set against gestural drawings of hands in motion, the sculptures trace acts of making, learning, and exchange. Hands gather, protect, create, and hands hold memory, operating as sites of both labor and emotion. Through repetition and connection, the work reflects on how individuals are linked through shared experience, gesture, and care.
